Based in Swindon, Dean Ely has been tattooing for over 14 years and is a resident artist at Sinking the Ink, one of the town’s longest-running tattoo studios. Known for his bold, vibrant work, Dean brings classic tattoo artistry into the modern era with his own unique twist.

An all-rounder who enjoys working across styles, Dean’s passion lies in old school traditional and neo-traditional designs — pieces that are bright, bold, and full of character, often inspired by medieval, fantasy, and fairytale themes.

Armed with a degree in Sequential Illustration, Dean’s creativity extends beyond tattooing; he’s also an accomplished illustrator and painter, with a love for storytelling through art.
